Best of Texas is an online practice contest for Texas high school UIL students.  The contest consists of your choice of ten subjects -- Computer Science, Computer Applications, Accounting, Mathematics, Number Sense, Calculator, Biology, Chemistry, Spelling, and Current Issues.  You may enter any or all ten subjects.  The contest consists of four rounds of tests in each subject.

The contest is held at each participating school, and any number of students may participate.  The contest will begin January 16, with two weeks in which to give each test to allow for Spring Break and other conflicts.

The sponsor will receive the tests by e-mail, make copies, give one test every two weeks to the students, and submit the scores online.  Results will be available to view online throughout the contest.

Best of Texas provides a valuable source of materials for your students for UIL practice without the travel.

Plaques, medals, and  ribbons will be awarded  to the top teams and individuals  in each grade level  (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) in each classification (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A).
